Our projects need your support!
Imagine that you belong to a human community that most people have never heard of or simply ignore.
Imagine that this community had to organize itself to survive half a century of dictatorship and more than a decade of civil war in its country, endure international economic sanctions, isolation within its own borders, attacks by armed groups from outside its province, and the chaos caused by corrupt officials and criminal gangs operating inside it.
Imagine that, after unanimously celebrating the fall of the dictatorship, this community was unfairly accused both of having supported the former regime and of now backing hostile foreign powers, while being persecuted because of its religious affiliation and despised by the international community because its land holds no resources.
Imagine that some of yesterday’s aggressors seized power by force and forced you to lay down your weapons—even though those weapons are, unfortunately, the only guarantee of your community’s survival.
Imagine that all of this culminates in the massacre of nearly 2,000 members of the community by militias linked to the same armed groups that once threatened it as disorganized groups coming out of the desert, now obeying orders from the new rulers.
Finally imagine that the new regime, after burning thousands of homes and displacing more than 180,000 people, militarily occupying over 30 villages and imposing a siege on the entire province, letting food in only drop‑by‑drop so the world can continue to downplay or ignore its crimes.
If you can picture all of this, then you can begin to put yourself in our shoes.
For more than three years, our initiative has been trying to inform and raise awareness about the fate of our community, denounce the violence, and investigate the crimes.
We record podcasts, write investigative and analytical articles, and are currently producing a documentary film about community’s self-defense as well as an in‑depth investigation into the July 2025 massacres.
All of this effort—and the time we devote to it—deserves support, your support.
If you can give even just 1 to 2 percent of your monthly salary, you will enable us to carry out our projects for our community in Suwayda, to tell the story of its resilience and to bring the truth about the horrific crimes it has suffered to light.

A local community project we would like to support
Al-Qurayya the place that brings us together.
The “Family Gathering – Al-Qurayya Brings Us” initiative was launched from the hearts of expatriates who still hold feelings of belonging and loyalty to their hometown of Al-Qurayya.
It is a non-profit, social, and volunteer initiative that aims to establish a development fund to support civil society in Al-Qurayya by financing service and development projects and providing assistance to families in need, in a spirit of responsibility and solidarity.
The fund is managed by a volunteer committee of expatriates, in cooperation with the Druze Association in Germany, to ensure transparency and sound management of donations.
The fund relies on symbolic monthly subscriptions (10, 25, or 50 euros) contributed by expatriates who wish to support their community and their people.
Your contribution to this fund represents an investment in our community and a bridge of goodwill between expatriates and their families back home.
Let your monthly contributions become a real force for development and support – not just a donation, but a commitment, a continuity, and an expression of love.
